Dear Bookcasers,
It has been the biggest blast running this blog connected to the indie bookstore that I grew up buying and reading books from in the kid's corner while drinking hot chocolate from the Caribou next door. I worked three years at The Bookcase and have learned and grown so much, getting opportunities to work with huge "big name" authors and sales reps and publicists. For a teenager, it was a dream job and has been the coolest experience.
It has also been so much fun rallying together a ragtag group of teens and kids who love to read as much as I do, and who want to share our thoughts with you on the web. It has been a great outlet for us and we sure have had an awesome time getting to know many of you bloggers better! You're the loveliest crowd on the web, if I do say so myself. :)
Unfortunately, due to many unrelated-to-the-blog circumstances, The (YA) Bookcase will now be closing. I'll leave it up as a resource for The Bookcase for the time being and I encourage you to look through our interviews and reviews while you still can. We hope they're still of use to you!
Take care, readers. Never stop picking up books and never stop supporting your indie bookstores!
Love,
Rachel and The (YA) Bookcase Team
